Are You Using Claude Code?

If you are using… You have access to…
Claude Code (with plugin installed) MCP tools and Claude Code skills
Any other MCP client (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Gemini CLI, etc.) MCP tools only

Skills are guided analyst workflows available exclusively in Claude Code. They chain multiple MCP tools into structured reports. If you are not in Claude Code, you can achieve similar results by prompting the MCP tools directly — it just takes more manual orchestration.

Data Basis Quick Reference

Understanding the data cadence helps you write better prompts and interpret results correctly.

Dataset Cadence Date Field Notes
Call Reports (financials, demographics) Quarterly REPDTE (YYYYMMDD) Quarter-end: 0331, 0630, 0930, 1231
Summary data Annual YEAR Year-end aggregate
Summary of Deposits (SOD) Annual YEAR Branch-level deposits as of June 30
Institution profiles Current Reflects latest known status
Failure records Event-based FAILDATE Date of failure

Dollar amounts are in thousands unless otherwise noted. Publication lag is approximately 90 days after the reporting period.

When a skill or multi-tool prompt mixes quarterly and annual data, the output states the date basis for each section. Be explicit about dates in your prompts to avoid unintentional mixing.
